EdTech Afrius
A learning platform that looks like somewhere you would learn
Afrius needed a learning environment that worked for students, instructors and the institution at once — and a brand presence that did not undersell the product behind it.

The challenge
Learning platforms fail in a particular way: they are built as content libraries and used as habits. If a returning learner cannot find their place in two seconds the habit breaks, and the subscription follows.
Afrius also needed instructors to have a credible route in — because an LMS with no teachers is just a website.
What we did
We built the product to open on the learner's own progress rather than a catalogue, and treated becoming an instructor as a product surface rather than a form.
The structure was designed to absorb a catalogue several times the size without a redesign, because that is what success looks like for a platform like this.
A brand that looks like somewhere you'd learn
Identity and responsive presence settled together, so the marketing surface and the product were never two different companies.
Continue where you left off
The home screen leads with the thing you were already doing and puts discovery underneath. A returning learner should be one click from their place; everything else on the page is for the visit after that.
Trending, and who else trusts it
Social proof placed beside the catalogue rather than on a page of its own, because the decision to start a course is mostly a confidence problem.
Categories, visual and finite
Browsable without drowning. Filtering exists for people who already know what they want; categories exist for everyone else.
The listing, with help on hand
Filtered results with live support attached — the point at which an undecided learner either asks a question or leaves.
The decision page
Where the money is made or lost, built around the question a learner is actually asking: is this worth my evenings for the next six weeks. Preview, curriculum, instructor, then real reviews.
Become an instructor
Treated as a product surface rather than a form, because supply is the harder side of this marketplace and the one that decides whether the catalogue grows.
Nothing between a decided buyer and the order
Deliberately plain: cart summary beside the fields, no surprises late, no upsell at the moment of payment.
Conclusion
A learning platform that opens on progress, a catalogue structure that can grow without a redesign, and a credible path in for the instructors who fill it.
The single decision that shaped everything: lead with what the learner was already doing. A catalogue on the home screen serves the business; progress serves the habit, and the habit is what pays.
What it added up to.
